Residential rubbish removal in Melbourne
Furniture and Rubbish Removal: Photo Quote Checklist
Pure Spotless Cleaning · Melbourne residential services
For a household rubbish removal quote, send clear photographs of the complete load, a list of items and the route from the items to the collection vehicle. Include your Melbourne suburb, preferred date, stairs or lift details and parking information. Photos help us assess suitability, volume and access; collection is only booked after confirmation.
Five photo views to include
- The whole load. Take a wide view showing everything you want removed. If items are in different rooms, photograph each group and label the groups in your message. Include loose items as well as furniture.
- Each bulky item. Show the whole sofa, mattress, table or other large item. Add approximate length, width and height. For a bed frame, show its disassembled pieces. A close-up alone does not show the size of the load.
- Doorways and turns. Photograph the route out of the property, including narrow doors, hallways and tight corners. Give measurements where clearance looks limited. Photograph items where they are; do not attempt an unsafe lift for a better picture.
- Stairs or lift access. Show flights, landings and entry points. Tell us which floor the items are on, whether there is a working lift and any building access or lift-booking restrictions.
- The route to parking. Show the driveway, gate or loading area and explain how far items are from vehicle access. Mention parking restrictions and anything that may prevent a vehicle from stopping nearby.
Use well-lit photos that show the full object. Avoid sending several close-ups of the same item while leaving other items out. Keep private documents and people out of the photographs where possible.

For example, “one two-seat sofa and one queen mattress, upstairs with one flight of stairs” is more useful than “a small load”. This is an example of the detail to provide, not a price or confirmation that a particular collection can be accepted.
Which household items can be assessed?
We can assess mattresses, sofas, disassembled bed frames, tables, chairs, small furniture, empty disconnected whitegoods and other suitable household items shown in your photographs. Acceptance depends on the load, weight, safe access, vehicle capacity and disposal requirements.
We cannot accept hazardous materials, chemicals or liquids; tyres, gas bottles or batteries; asbestos, medical waste or sharps; soil, concrete, bricks or building rubble; pianos, pool tables or safes; fixed items or items requiring an unsafe lift.
We do not disconnect plumbing or electrical connections. Whitegoods must be empty and disconnected before collection. Bed frames must be disassembled; do not assume dismantling is included. Read the full rubbish removal scope and exclusions before requesting a quote.
Why photos matter more than a “per van” estimate
Two loads that look similar can require different handling. A sofa beside a ground-floor doorway and a sofa upstairs behind a narrow turn present different access requirements. Item volume, weight, stairs, parking and disposal requirements all affect assessment. Published starting prices are a guide; your written quotation confirms the accepted items, load size, access and final price.
Before collection is confirmed
- Check that every item you want removed appears in the list and photographs.
- Send updated details if you add items or the access arrangements change.
- Wait for confirmation of the accepted items, scope, price and availability.
- Keep the agreed access route clear when it is safe to do so.
A basic sweep is included with removal. Detailed cleaning is quoted separately. If you are moving out, discuss the sequence of removal and end-of-lease cleaning before booking either service. For a property sale, tell us your photography or inspection deadline.
